The way of the long trail rewards you every time you take a break
The Asheville Coffee Trail includes several intriguing side trails that lead to further java adventures. We include coffee houses in tucked away towns and villages. Some of our trails meander along back roads while others follow the path of rivers and streams. Along the way you’ll meet small batch roasters, taste some fresh brewed coffee, chat with friends and discover some of the sweetest coffee bars on the planet! Here are a few of our favorite outings.
The Brown Bean Coffee Roasters ~ A small batch coffee roaster specializing in Rainforest Alliance Certified coffees. The Brevard-based micro-roaster offers wholesale roasting for coffee shops, restaurants and markets across the region. The retail store is located at 57 West Main Street in Brevard. Served fresh at Bracken Mountain Bakery.
The worlds of bikes and java collide inside the quaint coffee shop hosted by Sycamore Cycles in Brevard, NC. The perfect stop conveniently located at the gateway of Pisgah National Forest. Pick up some last minute bike supplies, enjoy a delicious cup of coffee or smoothie then hit the trail! Be sure to sample the yummy pastries from Fletcher Village Bakery. Beans are roasted regionally by Little River Roasters.
The Forest Coffee House ~ You might not connect the “Upstate” of South Carolina with Zimbabwe but the owners of the Leopard Forest Coffee Company did! The region reminded them of the rolling landscape of their southern African coffee farm so much that they moved their family to the region to introduce their delicious coffee to the rest of the world! The Forest Coffee House has evolved from its humble roots in Travelers Rest which originally was the Leopard Forest Coffee Café. The Forest stands up front and center on Main Street and is conveniently located along one of the region’s most exciting greenways – the Swamp Rabbit Trail.
Panacea Coffee Company ~ Coffee dreams some times come true! The folks at Panacea are passionate about coffee and they’re glad to share it with others. You’ll notice it as soon as you walk in their cozy café located in the historic Frog Level district of Waynesville. Good Coffee for Good People…
